Client Spotlight: Shirley Shreyer on Strength, Community & Showing Up
You may know her from class, from the beach, or the beautifully curated world of Wunderhaus — but to us, Shirley Shreyer is the definition of consistency, strength, and community spirit.
A longtime Prescription client, Shirley first discovered the studio in the early days, back when our very first location was still under construction. "I peeked my head in and met Vanessa," she says. "She told me a Reformer studio was opening soon — I was so excited. When it finally opened, I’ve been a fan ever since."
For Shirley, her Pilates journey has been a steady evolution. “When I’m able to attend regularly, I find I have so much strength and endurance,” she explains. “But when I miss a few classes, it’s like starting from the beginning again.” That honesty and dedication is something we love — the reminder that showing up is part of the practice.
What keeps her coming back? The Cardio Prescription classes, the constant challenge from our instructors, and the visible changes she sees in her body. “When I attend regularly, I instantly notice a difference — I feel more toned and leaner.”
Her favourite words to describe Prescription?
Fun, challenging, and inspiring.
(We’ll take it!)
We also love that Shirley shares her Prescription journey with friends:
“I love introducing people to the studio so I have a mini crew to attend with — it makes class even more fun to have Pilates besties around.”
Outside the studio, Shirley is also the founder of Wunderhaus, a vibrant global community of women sharing life advice, local recommendations, and curated gatherings. It’s no surprise she’s helping others build their village — she brings that same energy into every class she joins.
Thank you, Shirley, for moving with us — and for inspiring us with every session.
